Earthquakes – More than enough earthquake activity to report on today, so we’ll focus on a few key areas. The first is the New Madrid Missouri with a moderate 1.6 earthquake at a depth of 7.5 km.
Yellowstone experienced earthquakes today measuring 0.3, 0.6 , 0.3, 0.3, and 1.6 earthquake at the old faithful Geysers. There was a flurry of smaller earthquakes within the last 24 hours on the San Andreas Fault today with the largest measuring 4.2 in magnitude.
Shaking from this earthquake event was lightly felt around Sand Diego county. A magnitude 4.9 earthquake struck in Sulu Archipelago Philippines just moments ago, at a depth of 1- Kilometers. The most recent large magnitude earthquake took place in Eastern Papua New Guinea, which was a 5.3 in magnitude.
The next significant earthquake took place in Oaxaca Mexico, measuring 5.1 in magnitude. A very deep 4.9 magnitude earthquake with a depth of 497 km, took place in the Fiji region.
This entire area is experiencing magnitude 2.0 – 3.0 earthquakes, which is another key are awe are watching.

In Pheonix Arizona(USA) Roads were overwhelmed by rains today, as heavy storms swamped the region. One death was reported after the storms with a state of emergency declared for the area. source
